Love Field is the thermometer

Every Dallas ladder on this page carries the same opening line in its rules: the contract resolves to the temperature range that contains the highest, or lowest, temperature recorded by NOAA at the Dallas Love Field station. Love Field is the National Weather Service's KDAL, an airport in Dallas County at about 145 meters of elevation, and the number that matters is the one in the Temp column of NOAA's hourly table for that station, in whole degrees Fahrenheit. Whatever other thermometer a reader follows, a Dallas contract uses Love Field and no other site, so a reader checking where the day will land looks up KDAL and stops there.

Reading a Dallas ladder

A ladder is a set of yes-or-no contracts on the same reading, one per band. Dallas bands are two degrees wide, with an open band at the bottom and the top: the high ladder for September 24, 2026 started at 85°F or below and ended at 104°F or higher, and the low ladder for the same date ran from 65°F or below to 84°F or higher. Each band trades on its own, so the ladder shows how the market splits the day across the range rather than one forecast number. The band with the highest price is marked as the favourite on this page; the site never adds the bands together and never turns them into a forecast of its own. On September 23, 2026 one venue, Polymarket, quoted every Dallas band, which is why each ladder carries that name and why no cell links out.

The clock on a Dallas contract

The observation day runs on the station's own calendar day, and settlement follows a fixed sequence. The contract resolves when the first data point for the following date is published on the NOAA station page, or at 11:59 PM Eastern on the day after the observation date, whichever comes first. Until that moment, corrections NOAA makes to the day's readings still count. Should the NOAA page lack data for the observation date by the Eastern deadline, the Weather Underground daily observations table takes over as the resolution source, and a day with no data in either place resolves to the lowest bracket. The station keeps Central time; the deadline is written in Eastern.

Where the Dallas board stops

Dallas carries temperature ladders only. No rainfall contract was listed for the city on September 23, 2026, and the venue opened the September 24 ladders on September 22, two days ahead of the observation date, so the board reaches only a few days out at any time. Once a day has been measured and its contracts settled, it leaves the board; what remains is always the days still to come.
