Who publishes this site

Texas Predictions is published by Market Movers Media Inc. The site covers prediction markets on Texas questions: the offices on the state's ballot, the clubs that play their home games in the state, and the other public questions an exchange has turned into a contract. Every page is written under the TexasPrediction Staff byline, and the publisher can be reached at hello@marketmoversmediainc.com.

The site is not an exchange and not a venue of any kind. It takes no trades, holds no money, runs no market and sells nothing; there are no accounts to open and nothing to subscribe to.

Where the numbers come from

Market prices on this site are exchange prices supplied by Prediction Genius and shown as percentages. Prediction Genius reads the public feeds of the exchanges that list a contract and passes each venue's figure through unchanged; Texas Predictions displays those figures and writes about what they mean.

A percentage on this site is what a market implies, not a forecast or a recommendation. It is the level at which traders have settled for the moment, and it moves for reasons that range from a court filing to a single large order. When one exchange is the only venue pricing a contract, the page says so, because one book is not a consensus; when two venues disagree, both figures are shown rather than averaged into one.

The prices on a page are live and the prose is not. The writing states what a contract settles on, what the public record says about the question and what would change the reading; the board carries the number, with the time it was last updated.

What this site does not do

No page on Texas Predictions tells a reader what to do with a contract. Nothing here is investment, financial or legal advice, and no exchange is described as better, cheaper or safer than another. A venue is named as the place a contract is priced, and nothing more is claimed for it.

The desk does not set, adjust or influence any price it shows. Every figure originates with an exchange and reaches the page as the exchange published it. The desk holds no position in any contract it covers, and no venue pays for, reviews or shapes a page; the disclosure page records that in full.

Whether a Texan may trade a given contract, and on what terms, is a question this page does not answer, and no page on the site answers it with a conclusion: what statutes, regulators and courts have said is reported as of a stated date, and nothing more.

Corrections and reviews

Corrections are made on the page they concern and dated. A correction is visible: the page says what was wrong and when it was put right, rather than folding the change into a quiet rewrite. An error of fact can be sent to hello@marketmoversmediainc.com with the page and the sentence it appears in; the contact page says what to include.

Every page shows the date it was last reviewed. Legal and election pages are reviewed every 14 days and after any filing or result. Team and person pages are reviewed every 30 days, guides every 30 days, section pages every 90 days, and pages like this one every 180 days. A page whose review date has passed stays published and stays linked while it is read again; it is refreshed, never withdrawn.
